My first visit to Africa was a quick day-trip to Morocco during my stay in Gibraltar, arranged by Flandria Bus.

Morocco is different than any of the places visited so far; but I enjoyed it more than I though I would. The most striking and unexpected features were the green hills and the friendly people.

I visited the cities of Tetouan and Tangier and their respective Medinas (the old town part of the cities). The Medinas were an interesting experience, with the narrow streets tempting you to get lost, merchants selling everything under the sun and the busy and dynamic atmosphere.

More sights in Tetouan included the Royal Palace, a carpet shop and a traditional lunch, while the Tangier tour included a spice shop.
