Even more wonders in Transylvania
Visited some more wonders in the Transylvania region of Romania: the volcano, basalt columns and Emerald Lake in Racos; Coltesti fortress; Scarisoara ice cave; Ruginoasa pit; and Deva fortress. Pictures added to the Transylvania album:
Transalpina and Transfagarasan
Romania’s most scenic driving routes are Transalpina and Transfagarasan, which I revisited this weekend. Also spent a night at Balea Lake, which was just magical. A few pictures added to the Wallachia album.
More wonders in Transylvania
I spent several days touring Transylvania and checking some more wonders that the region has to offer: the basalt columns at Detunata Goala, the ancient Roman mines at Rosia Montana, the wooden churches of Maramures and the fabulous ride on the Mocanita forest steam train. South Africa was an amazing experience.
