Island nations of the Indian Ocean: Sri Lanka and Maldives

Visited the island nation of Sri Lanka, an endlessly fascinating country with a rich culture and a documented history spanning more than 3,000 years. Spent some time in the capital city of Colombo, did a trip to the historically-significant city of Kandy and visited two of the country’s nicest temples. After Sri Lanka I spent some time on one of the Maldives’ 1,192 coral islands. Maldives is the perfect destination for relaxation, great beaches and fantastic snorkelling or diving; life on a small, 2km-wide island is a truly unique experience. Check out the photos in the new Maldives album:
